If you've been following along, you've seen the massive run of production We've been doing over the last few weeks. It's all over now, Since June 21st we've gone through about 800lbs of clay and produced roughly 275 pieces. Now I know some people who can throw that many in a day without a fuss, but I'm not one of them. This took an effort and overfilled the studio. Now we go see if anyone likes what we do enough to part with their hard earned cash. So far there are five 18 gallon totes full of pottery, I there is enough work left to fill another 1 and there is a kiln cooling this morning which should fill another 2..There is also a stack of greenware waiting to be biscuit fired that includes a few plate orders due in August as well as more soup mugs and some tumblers.
In theory this should get us through this weekend, plus the next two weeks. and still leave about 1/2 the stock available. We'll be coming home on the 18th to start throwing again, where I hope to get another 150-250 pieces thrown to take to the last and biggest event we do for the first two weeks in August..When that wraps up, all the stock will be headed to The PA Renaissance Faire for the fall, and we'll come home and start producing for it as well as keeping Etsy stock built up in preparation for the Holiday season. Then we'll be wishing you a happy new year :)
Now I've got to go pack, price load and organize.
